Program Description:

Organizational culture is typically defined as the personality of an institution, manifesting the history, experiences, and frustrations of each individual that collectively makes up the organization. When we think of culture within an organization, we tend to think of its impact on the effectiveness of our programming. However, it can also influence our ability to seek funding for these programs.

From this luncheon, attendees will discover how culture can both positively and negatively shape the development staff’s capacity in seeking funding for their organization and how leaders can effectively transform an existing culture into one that empowers their development team in sharing a passion and excitement for the organization’s mission.

Moderator:

Claudette G. Baker, Vice President of Library and Nonprofit Services, Donors Forum

Panelists:

Joann Ricci, Philanthropy Consultant, RicciGroup;
